Giorgio Armani, a rare gentleman in today’s hectic word of fashion, brought a touch of Art Deco to his Spring 2019 Privé couture collection. With plenty of sophistication and statement headpieces, the collection embodies timeless elegance with a contemporary twist. Stunning headwear reemerged on the runway in a mixture of fringe, beading, sequins and prints. From power skirt suits to statement evening outfits, Armani designed a collection that his loyal celeb clients will adore. Elegant, feminine and sophisticated, it offers bold geometric and flower prints and a color palette ideal for spring, as well as the inevitable black pieces.
Lacquer, elongated silhouettes, strong contrasts of vibrant shades of red and blue, sharp tailoring and luscious silk fringes characterize the latest collection under the script of Bertolucci. Inspired by his movie “Il Comandante”, Armani designed each piece out of rich, luxurious, opulent fabrics. The collection demands to be admired, contemplating new idea of strong femininity. It is a manifesto of seduction and audacity, a statement of being feminine without being restrained. Silk fringes and opulent pleats levitate alongside Georges Delerue’s sweet and reassuring melody that reflects the eternity of the collection. The ruffles are somewhat amplified to accommodate bold polka dots and the feminine curves. Geometrical prints create a three dimensional feel. Each outfit is in perfect synchronicity. At the end of the show, king Giorgio was greeted by a loud applause, as the throne entirely belongs to him.
